What does the term "grey market" mean? My uncle recently purchased a very nice Kubota tractor and told me that he found out after buying it that it was a "grey" tractor. I mentioned that I thought grey market tractors were manufactured in or for the Japanese market and were imported into the U.S. I'm not sure if I was correct or not. He mentioned that his local Kubota dealer wasn't too helpful when he was parts hunting for a front wheel seal and I wondered if it was because of the grey market status or if the parts were different for U.S. bound Kubotas. Since reading the messages on this board, I've e-mailed a Little Miami Trading Company for some help. Are there any sites out there that deal with or have additional information on these grey market tractors? I would appreciate any help.

Try this site: http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/user/kb13/ans_grey.htm It has most answers and URLs to find suppliers. Read about the Kubota courts case which may explain the reaction from your local Kubota dealer. ....
